My very serious firstborn

While Emily has a gorgeous smile, she has always had a very serious look too. And yesterday, I captured it again. Deep in thought, I suppose.

Unafraid of Wiggly Things

While planting our garden, Emily discovered earthworms. And now she loves them. 

Snails, rollie polies, ladybugs, ants, frogs, anything that wiggles or squirms she loves.

Emily's Mad Tumbling Skills

Yesterday was Emily's MDO tumbling observation day. I learned a few things...

1. She likes an audience.

2. Having an audience doesn't always elicit obedience.

3. She's a show off - just like her mom.

So, for example, on the balance beam, she would take one step, fall off, look at me to make sure

 I was watching, grin, get back on the balance beam, take another step, fall, look....repeat....

you get the picture.

But she was very excited Kara and I were there to watch her jump, flip, balance, etc!
