Week of Travels

My family, the Gilger's, will have been on the road a ton this week! My brother Scott moved from San Francisco to Austin Texas this week. He left Monday and drove to Arizona. Then drove the rest of the way yesterday. He clocked a lot of miles!

Then my parents are driving from Houston to Memphis today and tomorrow to come see us! We are then driving to Atlanta for a Henry Blackaby conference. My mom and dad haven't been to Memphis since we got married......so it will be fun to have them here again for a few days. Then they will drive back to Houston, TX.

See, I told you. Those Gilger's are clocking a lot of road miles.

Now, to my Austin friends- be sure to look up my brother and say hello!

Marley

I decided not to let Marley join me on the couch this morning. He's too "in your face". So when I went looking for him, this is where I found him...Sunning!
Of course, when he saw me he ran and found a toy and came back in to the office, in the one square of sunlight on the carpet. What a funny dog!

Very Behind

okay, let's see if I can catch you up on what's been going on.

Matt and I went skiing in Utah 2 weeks ago (good pictures still to come. a few camera phone ones below). I came home with a very sick husband. Who still has a terrible cough.
His cousin died on Saturday so he and his parents went to Alabama on Tues and came back late last night. Please pray for Lisa, his wife, and their 3 kids.

In a more positive world, I've been commissioned to make some little thank you cards for our preschool director. Here they are.
Very simple. Some say "thanks for all you do" and some say "grateful".

I've also still been knitting. I made my first bi-colored hat for Matt. It actually is about the right size, which is a first. They've all been too big so far. Here's a picture. Not a great one, but you get the point. (PS- what did we do before camera phones?

Our small group at New Hope is going great! We met last night and there were 10 of us. We had great discussion about Mark 12 and Scripture really came alive through our conversation. I love it!

My parents are coming to Memphis at the end of February. All 4 of us are going to a Henry Blackaby conference in Georgia. I'm so glad they are coming. They haven't been to Memphis since the wedding in...2007!!

My brother Scott is moving to Austin in March. He's leaving San Francisco after 4 years. He's done so well out there, but I'm glad he'll be closer to home. Here he is...
And I think that's about it for today. Thanks for reading!
