Generations!

There are actually 4 generations of Goolsby women in this picture: My Grandmommy Willa Mae, my Mom Becky, me, and little Emily. What an honor it is to be in this line of women.

I've been busy

I decided to get my creative juices flowing this weekend, and I've been sewing! I'm glad Mom gave me a lesson last weekend, cause now I feel like a pro. Kind of.

I made 4 different colors of burp cloths. Some to give as gifts, some to keep. I think they are really cute!

I not only made 4...I actually made....

12!!

Yep, I whole pack of white diapers I turned into adorable burp cloths! It was so easy, and I enjoyed doing them. I was very tempted to buy more cute fabric and stuff, but I figured making a ton was not a great idea unless I decided to sell them. I don't know that many pregnant friends. :-)

So I'll stop with 12.

A few more pictures

Here are some "before and after" shots of the nursery. Our bedding should arrive today, so if it does, I will of course post some true "after" pictures!

Here's me and Grandmommy. Her flight home was delayed/postponed yesterday, so hopefully she's still not stuck at Dallas Love!

And here I am getting a sewing lesson from Mom. I'm making the burp cloth I posted yesterday.
(Yes, you must hold your mouth that way in order to make the machine work properly. :-)

Nursery & Etc....

Remember this...?

Well, we are in the process of getting the nursery ready. Here are some pictures of what we did this weekend. My bedding is still in the mail. When it comes, more pictures to come!

And here is the burp cloth we made yesterday, out of my old baby diapers! I think they turned out pretty cute. I made another color of one, but I gave it away already.

Mom and Grandmommy came for a visit

My mom and her mom (Grandmommy) came to visit this weekend. And instead of relaxing, we put them to work. We painted the nursery (pictures coming soon), did some sewing (pictures coming soon) and had a good time with Matt's parents at dinner for my mom's birthday.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

28 weeks, 5 days

Here I am at 28 weeks, 5 days. Growing growing, and this girl kicks me all the time!
And yes, I am in the nursery. It's not painted, it's not ready, but we do have a crib (thanks Chris and Christy!) and a mobile (thanks Shelley!).

Hopefully it will get painted this weekend while my mom and grandmother are here. My mom is an excellent painter. :-)
