I attempted to make a pillowcase dress for Emily yesterday while she was napping. But I set myself up for failure before I even got started. Here's why...
#1. I didn't use a pillowcase.
#2. I only used materials/fabric I already had.
#3. I didn't use a pattern.
#4. I didn't take any measurements of my little girl.
#5 I had seen a few weeks ago a dress that my friend Bonnie W. had made for her granddaughter and I just went by what I remembered that dress looking like.
#6. Emily is much bigger than I thought she was. See?? The dress was a little snug on her.
And in case that one didn't bring a chuckle to your life, here's another shot.
Yeah, pretty bad. But it was my first time at trying to sew something other than
burp cloths (click here to see that post.) So I'll just take it apart and make more burp cloths I guess. That is, until I get a dress making lesson from Mrs. Bonnie W! (or Kris J!)
