Early Halloween...Go Hogs!

We went to a neighbors house for a Halloween party tonight. We weren't sure what Emily should be...

A ladybug...

or a razorback...

Obviously, we chose the razorbacks so we could all match.  But as you can see, Em wasn't so happy about wearing the hood.

On the walk to the party I was able to catch a priceless moment, though.

Em's Birthday Party {Part 2}

Em got lots of great gifts for her birthday.

Like most kids, she enjoyed the wrapping more than the gifts themselves.

Now...it's cake time!!

Daddy was lucky enough to get a very messy birthday kiss!

It was a great 1st birthday! Thanks everyone for loving on our daughter!

Emily had a great birthday party with our family, her best girl friends (and mine too)!

We made  cupcake tree for dessert.

Emily is ONE!!

 Emily turned one yesterday!!

She was a little sick on her birthday,

but we still had a good time, opening and closing her closet door,

 which is her new favorite pasttime.

We took her to On The Border for dinner (doesn't every one year old want chips and salsa on their birthday??) so we could celebrate.

She had some angel food cake and peaches as we counted down the minutes until 7:23pm, the time she was born.

This was her on her real birth-day....

1 year ago today...

Today is Emily's 1st birthday! What a sweet year it has been.

 

 What a wonderful year with the sweetest girl!

What will the next one bring? Can't wait to find out!

Homemade outfit

I made my first applique'd outfit today! I am going to be addicted, I can tell already!

51 weeks

 Hello world. 

Let's start with the truth. Next week I'll be posting that Emily is 1 year old. I'm still in shock. Today she's 51 weeks old. Only one week left in this crazy year. Wow.

Okay, back to today. It's been a good weekend.

I got a new lens and remote control for my camera so I've been playing with it a bit.

Emily was not very happy with me, trying to take her picture instead of picking her up.

Yes, people, she does throw fits and cry every now and then.

She kept getting closer and closer..."Pick me up Mom!"

She played outside with Daddy for a bit...

And before church this morning, we had a little photoshoot.

Once Emily figured out there was a bright light on the camera, she got more interested in smiling.

And last, but not least.....she is so close to walking....a lot!

She's spending a lot less time on her toosh and more on her feet!
