Christmas Favorites

We had a great Christmas. Here are few of my favorite pictures.

Babymoon!

Matt whisked me away for a weekend getaway before Kara gets here. We went to The Alluvian hotel in Greenwood, MS. We ate some delicious food, especially at this place called Delta Bistro. Oh so yummy.

While we were there, we got a call that my brother and his wife had their first child, Morrison! Meet my nephew:

The last night we were there we did a cooking class at the Viking Cooking School. It was fun and delicious!

 Yes, I look so gigantic in that white apron. 

 We fixed crab cakes & chipotle tarter sauce, veal chops with mushroom & roasted garlic sauce, chocolate and cherry cookies.

It was a wonderful trip! Just 2 months until baby Kara arrives!

It snowed today!

Snow!

We bundled up and ran outside to play in the Memphis snow for a few minutes this morning before Bible Study.

She was so excited! 

I was excited because I bought those snow boots last spring for just $5, and got to take the tags off today, for the snow.

I showed her that she could eat some snow. A little hesitant at first, but when I told her it was like ice (she loves ice), she couldn't stop!

She even shared with her Daddy.

Apparently 2 year olds don't get cold. I think she would have stayed out there all day, though I was freezing after 5 minutes.

Yay for snow!
