This is the face we've been seeing the most of around here...

 Yes, this beautiful gummy grin is all over our house!  

She loves to laugh at peek-a-boo and any crazy face we make.

I can't stand it, she's so cute!

 Still no teeth, but eating whatever mushy item we put in front of her.

She loves to sit up, but if she falls and makes it to her back, those toes go straight to her mouth!

She's even sleeping through the night now... love this precious one!

Emily's 1st day

Emily's 1st day of MDO is today! She was ready to go!

 I made her come outside and smile for me.....she sure likes to scrunch up that face when she says "cheese!"

I'm trying to commemorate her favorite things at each new stage so I won't forget.

Baby Kara is not so babyish anymore ~ 28 Weeks

Sweet Kara is 28 weeks today.  

She is so fun, so happy, and so sweet!

 Even though I couldn't get a smile out of her on the porch, I did get to capture her gorgeous eyes.

For the Birds

Since the weather has turned a little cooler in the mornings (yay!), I took the girls to the Memphis Zoo today. We went to the Birds & the Bees exhibit and spent a woppin' $1 on a stick to feed the birds. And let me  tell you, best $1 ever! Emily loved it!

 She was unsure at first...the birds came quick and pecked at our feet...

But Emily quickly fell in love and didn't want to leave.

 

We took a seat and then dozens of parakeets came over!

BRAVE (no, not the movie)

I tell you what, we have the bravest little preschooler. Let me tell you why.

While at the mall yesterday, enjoying our nearest Chick-fil-A, Emily asked to go ride the "amigals" (animals, aka carousel). I told her sure; a special treat with Mom.

Well, next to the carousel is this elastic jumping thing that all the big kids do.  But when Emily saw it yesterday, after seeing it a dozen times before, this time she said, "I wanna do that!" After confirming and reconfirming with her (didn't want to waste my 7 bucks) we decided to give it a try! 

She got all bucked in her "seatbelt"...

and jumped!!

 and jumped and jumped!

 She loved it the whole time- constant smiles.

I'm so proud of her. She's fearless and so fun. What a kid!

What's all this green stuff?? 27 Weeks

I took Kara out to the yard for her 27 weeks pics. She was fascinated by the grass.

"Hi Mom!"

And then things just got silly....

Happy girl!

She is mastering this sitting thing (look at her, unsupported!) and the eating thing. She feeds herself "puffs" and bananas, and loves to eat everything else via spoon.

She's 15lbs 4oz (25%) and 26" (50%). She took her shots at the Doc like a champ. 

Love my happy, smiley, easy goin' girl!

Every girl needs a sister....

These girls are so blessed to have each other.

 I have a brother, and though I love him dearly, every girl wishes she had a sister.

Someone to have a tea party with...

 do makeovers and hair do's...

 giggle and tell secrets to....

& trade clothes and shoes....

I'm so glad they have each other!!

It's so amazing...our newborn baby is 6 months old today! I took 230 pictures (yeah, I know!) of her and her sister...so instead of staying up super late and getting them all beautiful... you get a sneak peek instead!

She is a joy. And so big. So fast.

I must admit, I might be rushing the introduction of a bow to Kara's hair. She doesn't have all that much just yet. But for church Sunday, I had to try!
