A Day of Firsts

Kara grew up a little today and had some "firsts". 

Today, she put her hand in the potty water.  Yucky.

As of today, she is now a formula/bottle only baby. Sad Mommy.

And today, she took her first steps (with a walker)! Yay for Kara!

Emily took her firsts steps behind that same blue hippo. Lots of memories. 

Only 9 days left - 51 weeks

Kara and I spent this 75' January day taking her 51 week pictures. 

I find it so amazing that in just 9 short days, this little baby girl will turn 1.

If you look hard, you can barely see that top right tooth coming down. 

She loves to "crawl" on all 4's.

 She is a delight, this girl.

Sister Love - Piano & Peekaboo

These sisters are together all the time.

 Kara is always trying to keep up with her big sis.

"Peekaboo" happens big time around here these days. If you can hide behind anything and pop up, Kara screams and laughs. It's so fun. This week, the Pottery Barn chair created a great Peekaboo game. 

 Here's Emily jumping up...look at her hair defying gravity!

50 Weeks

Here are a few pictures of Kara at 50 weeks.

One of her top teeth has broken through. 

She squeals in delight all the time. Loud.

She walks around all the furniture, but no walking on her own yet. 

She is so beautiful.

Oops, missed a week- K - 11 months

I promised someone some non-naked 11 month pictures. Well here are a few!

Sister Love - Hugs

I tried to get the girls to sit still long enough to take their picture together. 

Didn't work very well when one is constantly crawling and the other is constantly trying to "help."

This is the best one. Pretty cute!

But now you get to see all the outtakes!

They love each other, make each other laugh all day long, play together...My heart is full!

Super model Emily

I bribed Emily this week with a short "rest time" if she would sit still and let me take a few pictures.

Stillness is not her best quality. Smiles are.

She accidentally made an "I Love You" sign and we were trying to recreate it...  

She is so energetic, so exciting, so talkative. 

and she is always into something.

Kara ~ 49 weeks

Our sweet girl is almost one. One!! She makes all kinds of squeals all day long but no words. 

She is full of smiles.

 Her top 2 teeth are so close to coming in.

She is constantly on the move but not walking yet. Just around and around the furniture she goes....

She is a treasure.

11 Months...Round 1

Sweet sweet Kara is 11 months old today! We've had a very sick month, so she spent today at the Doctor. After a round of antibiotic, she woke from her nap today happier. I forgot to take her picture until bath time. But it worked out...she's pretty adorable, even in the tub.

 She's a teeny tiny 18lbs 7oz.

 She's cruising around all the furniture, but not standing on her own yet.

 She sleeps about 11 hours every night.

She crawls to wherever sister is, even when sister is supposed to be napping. 

I promise to take "dressed" pictures soon. :-)

One month and precious girl turns one...unbelievable!
