Crafty Front Door

So I finally rid myself of the "came with the house" window treatments and roman shade on my front door. However, that left me with a very large glass (see through all the time, anytime) front door.

After a little coercion, I talked Matt into letting me frost it. I was going to etch it, but that would have left the majority clear glass, minority covered. And I wanted the opposite. So this is what we came up with. A few scrapbooking cutouts, a little spray adhesive, and a can-o-frost, we have a new front door!

Check it out!
It may be little ghetto, but we've decided that after we live with it a while, if it doesn't grow on us, then our Christmas gift to each other will be...drumroll....a new front door!

I've been Tagged

My sweet friend Sonya tagged me and I thought this was an easy one to do.

Here are the rules:
1. choose the 4th picture folder on my computer.
2. choose the 4th picture.
3. explain the picture.
4. tag 4 people to do the same.

Here's the 4th picture on my work computer since now i've been officially tagged....
This is me and Bethany Chu at Amber's house for Grace and Cody's goodbye party. Cody is in the Todd Agnew band- "the bass player"- and they all moved to Texas this Summer. So we had a little goodby party for them. I miss you, Grace and Cody!

Oh, now I tag 4 people-
1. Adrianne
2. Jamie
3. Brandy F
4 Brandy W.

4th picture, 4th folder

I saw on JenT's blog a little foward thing, so I decided to join in the fun- without being tagged!

So, here is the 4th picture in the 4th folder in my pictures folder...let's see what it is....

Aw, so funny! This is a picture my friend Snak- Steve Nakagawa - took on our road trip with his family to Pensacola in Sept 2006. Who knew this would be when Matt would come down and we would have our first kiss.  Say it with me....awwww!

Here, i'll prove to you the road trip...pic #1 in the same folder....

Congrats David!

New Living Room...paint at least

Matt and I repainted our living room (and trim) last weekend and it looks so fantastic! We added a chair rail and it has brightened up the room and made it look so much bigger. I am so happy with it. I'll be doing the kitchen and guest bath next. Stay tuned! (not quite as crafty as JennT, but that's okay)

Where were you when...

I can remember all the times growing up, calling my grandparents and asking them where were they when such-and-such happened. Usually for a project or paper for history.

I'm not much a politician -not at all, really- but I do know that I better remember this week well. For sure my children and grandchildren will one day ask me where I was when President Obama was elected. What was the culture like? How did people react? What was it like to elect a black man for the first time? etc.

I better remember this day....

Feel free to comment with your thoughts as well. I'm sure these future grandkids will want to know what my friends thought, too. :-)

No more house

Forget all the beautiful picture of those 4 acres....we're not getting that house. It was just getting too difficult to settle on some issues and the prices were just rising, etc, so we decided to walk away.

But another house will come our way in time. Maybe one that won't have '60's light fixtures. :-)
