A Sweet Easter with Family

He is Risen!
We had a great Easter with family, church, food, and pictures.
Daddy and his girls
Our last family portrait was from last Easter....
We've changed just a little between this year and last....
My goodness, Emily looks like a baby and now she's so big!

And because we never get our picture taken together....
here are 2!
Happy Easter to you. He is Risen Indeed.

Happy Easter!

We went to take pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses...They were so cute! But Emily was in some sort of a mood and didn't want to cooperate.
But I  kept trying and snapping away and caught a few good ones.
 Love this one...
As always, Em was on the move.

Sweet Kara

Daddy wanted in on the kissing action...
I think Em was jumping- hence the hairdozz

Mealtime Messies

It's amazing what one slice of pizza followed up by one Oreo cookie can do to a 1 year old....
 So messy!
(Ignore the nice bruise on her forehead. I'm not sure where it came from)
Yummo! Doesn't this look so good?

Emily had to get in on the Oreo action. No, she's not showing off her muscles, just holding the chair.
 Check out this cookie monster!

Dinner with the Reynolds

A few days ago our dear friends, the Reynolds, came over for dinner. They live just down the street and we have kids the same ages. You will probably recognize Natalie (their 3 year old) from our girls' birthday pictures. Natalie has been to every birthday party our girls have had! We are so blessed to have such good friends nearby.

After dinner, we parents thought it would be fun to try to get all 4 kiddos in a picture.
They did pretty well.... for a while....
Natalie is 10 weeks older than Emily and Parker is 3 weeks older than Kara.
I don't think Kara quite knew what to do with Natalie's arm around her.
(Nana & Matt, check out Emily's toes! Haha!
I'm outta here....
So glad for friends.

Bedding Hunt

I have been on a bedding hunt for my master bedroom for more than 6 months. I have ordered online; I have bought in stores. I have been pinning on Pinterest for months.
See? Every time I find one online I like, I pin it. I've talked my hubby into letting me order a few to try out that have easy returns or free shipping.
So far, it's been a no go.
But yesterday a Target ad came in the mail and I found one I liked. So I pinned it.
And, this morning I took Kara to Target and we brought it home (with a 15% off coupon- score!)
I think I like it!
With a headboard and a few more accent pillows, I think it will work. It will be a chance for me to get out my sewing machine and make some homemade pillows & curtains.

I think this one might be a winner.

Flying!

We took some friends flying this weekend to Sikeston, MO. There is a restaurant there called Lambert's. They throw hot, steaming yeast rolls across the restaurant to anyone who wants one. It's a fun, touristy place and we thought it would be fun to spend a Saturday flying up there for lunch.

This is Emily and her friend, Harper, standing in front of "Daisy", the plane.
Emily wasn't quite ready to have her picture taken....
Loosened up, and ready to fly!  (she is too much-goofy girl!)
 ~ Friends ~
~ Sisters ~
 Getting ready to take off
Emily about to chow down on lunch....I think she ate more bread than anything else.
You see those giant yellow & blue cups in the background?? That's how they serve their beverages! HUGE!

St. Patty's Day Outdoor Fun

We spent a few minutes outside on St. Patrick's Day, all dressed in green, chasing bubbles.
When I told Emily that Kara was wearing green pants, she of course wanted green pants too. And all she had was camo. Doesn't matter, she's adorable in anything!
 Model pose....
These remind me so much of Emily's pics a long, long time ago...both girls loved that little step on the back porch!

A Happy St. Patty's Day to you!
